Sloppy Folk was/is mostly a folk punk busking project in Johannesburg. It started a local Folk The Park project of guerrilla acoustic punk shows in parks (until Park Acoustics came along to cash in and sell out the revolution... wankers!), there were drunken train rides to Cape town and Durban, many bar stages were assaulted, the band tried to become an electric punk band... but mostly the recordings were all lo-fi live takes into a single microphone at Mikes house. These sessions were burnt to cd-r to try sell at shows for beer money.

This is a collection of a few of the songs we recorded mostly between 2009 and 2010 but with some tracks from 2011, 2013 and one from 2016. My personal favorites. Sloppy between these dates consisted mainly of Mike, Shaun and Chris. Then Clint, and JP, + Storm, Zam, Cami, Brent and whoever wanted to join in when we busked or played shows. - Shaun
